The painting

Paul's painting, drawing and print making is inspired from his local environment in the south of England and from his frequent holidays in France and Spain. He sometimes paints directly from life but frequently he works from photographs in his studio. Paul's favourite medium is oil paint but he does work in water colour, acrylic and sometimes in mixed media.

The printing

In recent years Paul has started to produce more lino cuts, mainly figurative work, inspired in part by the sculpture seen during visits to major European museums, most notably the Rodin Museum in Paris.
